Yes, I do believe I really revise. For one importance of revising is it is very important for a student to revise their paper, because a student is bound to make mistakes. The reason I decide to revise is because I know that I can frequently make mistakes in my writing, and it is important for me to fix my mistakes. Revising has plenty of benefits. For one, with revising a paper, the person is able to get another person's impute on the paper. With another person's impute you are able to get a view that you could not get by you just reading your paper. If you only read your own paper, then their is a bias on your paper, and you may not see some of the mistakes as you would in someone else reading your paper.
The revisions that I plan to do to my essay 3 are fixing a lot of grammar errors. A major thing that I want to focus in fixing my essay 3 is to make sure I stay in contact with my thesis statement. I noticed that when my paper was sent back to me, I was drifting from my thesis a lot. That is one thing that I know that I will lose points on. With this being said I also want to make sure that I have a clear understanding of a thesis statement. I know that I can make my these statement stronger, and that is exactly what I am going to do.

In the article of Methland: The Death and Life of an American Small Town, by Nick Reading he reviews how Meth can destroy not only a person, but also their family. Reading focuses on a small town and how the economy falling has had an effect on why meth was being used in Oelwein, Iowa. He talked to people that have let the meth take over their lives. Reading also traveled through several small towns in America, to talk to people that let the drug take over their lives. He realized that meth is following all these small towns, and he talks about how certain groups are influenced by meth. The way meth takes over your body, is because your body is working so hard to keep functioning, and meth is doing the complete opposite. It is destroying your body, and your body just keeps wanting the drug. Reading wrote this article, because he wanted to get the word out why meth is so dangerous in small towns.
This article can relate to essay 3 because it shows how meth can take over a person life, and there family's. Meth can take over a small town, and it can also give some happiness to the people using it. These towns are small poor towns, and meth can cause a small income for these people. Since the drug is so addicting people will always come back to it.
This compares to Winter Bone, because in Winters Bone it is about a small town that uses meth. The leading characters father cooks meth, and it is destroying himself and his family. I am very sad that this drug exists and how addicted it is. In Winters Bone the reader can see all the bad this drug can do on a family.

First off I am really enjoying Winters bone, and after I finish reading the book I plan on going to see the movie.
To start off I really like this book, and I am excited to keep reading it.
The air is cold
but inside she has to be bold
To protect her brothers
and incapable mother
Her dad doesn't care
sometimes it isn't fair
The sherriff comes to the door
What she hears makes her tore
Dad put the house up for bail
Then decided not to leave a trail
The nights start to get colder
Her family is relying on her shoulders
She sets on her way
to save the day
When she finds her no good dad
She will show him what he could of had

Well this year so far has been very fun. Between being on the team, to hanging out with my teammates, and working hard in school. I would say this semester has been going very well so far. My goals for the rest of the semester would be to; first keep doing well in soccer, and making sure we stay on the right track. Second, make sure I keep my grades up, my goal is to get A's and B's in all my classes this semester.
The biggest challenge I had this year, would have to be writing the different papers. I think this is because, I needed to reread the stories, and be able to interpret what I read onto my paper. My biggest success would be making sure I turn in all my work on time. Well the first reading it was hard for me to understand, so I can't say I liked that one to much. The swift short story I really liked. The main reason I liked is because I could easily follow along, and at some points it made me laugh. I think the readings in the class have affected me by making sure I become a better reader.
Well literary analysis is different then other writings I have done, because I was use to writing a research type paper. While writing a literary analysis style I was able to now analyze the writing and be able to communicate it more in my papers. My goals for the second half of the semester is to become a better writer, and do good on all my papers. I hope to improve on my writing and all around grammar.

Johnathan Swifts short story a modest proposal brings in a strong concept of satire. Swift uses satire in his short story to criticize the politics and the way things are in his country. Swift does a great job in using stuff that is so outrageous as a solution that the reader can't help but laugh. He is trying to make fun of the government in a way that can not get him in any trouble. For example, if swift just wrote a story on how bad the government was and criticize the politics of his country, then he would be in a lot of trouble. By using satire and explaining the problems in a funny way, then he was able to get his point across without getting in trouble.

The problem that Swift identifies in his society is the amount of beggers on the street. The mothers of the children are unable to work. Swifts proposal is that children that are one year of age or younger should be sold as a source of food. Of course Swift is not being serious, he doesn't feel like they should really sell their new born babies. Swift's example is to show that Ireland needs to keep the stuff in Ireland and not go and fight for for England. Swift is making fun of rich people in the society and how they act and treat people. His solution is clear and understanding, and he says that it will boast the economy. His example is that it is cheaper to feed a baby for 12 months then to sell one. I believe his satire is clear and is really funny. I think he did a good job in using satire.
